Thoughtful Thursday: Black Women’s Equal Pay Day

Today is Black Women’s Equal Pay Day!

Although Black women remain the leading ethnic and gender group to earn higher ed degrees, Black women in general earn about $.61 for every dollar earned by their male counterparts. The definition of Equity is the quality of being fair and impartial. In order to truly seek equity we must also address the economic barriers in our community. Today’s Thoughtful Thursday Question is:

How can we support one another and begin to close the wage gap between race and gender?
